Class of 2010.
A couple of months ago, I posted about the continuing rise of design competitions with excessive entry fees - particularly those aimed at young Designers. A case in point was the ADC Young Guns’ $135 entry fee, despite it being aimed at young Designers on minimal salaries.
One notable exception to this trend was the Working Class Awards, with zero entry fee, which I entered my redesigned Hitchcock DVD Covers into. The entries were judged by the likes of Warren Trezevant, Animator & Creative Lead at Pixar and Illustrator Tom Gauld.
The results were announced on Friday and I found out I was lucky enough to be commended by the judges! There’s a full list of the winners and those commended over on the WCA blog here.
