Still worth remembering.
A while ago I blogged about a collection of old Woolworths stores photos and how old signage allows brands to live on after their demise. A great example of this comes from the guys at Nixon Design in Hayle, Cornwall whose lovely studio shot (shown above) is featured on the Unit Editions website.
Speaking to Nixon Design this week, they told me that the signage comes from the old Woolworths in Penzance, which they managed to buy off builders who were dismantling the store earlier this year. They paid a mere £50 for the set which now adorns the inside of their studio. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Great stuff!
