Worth remembering.

There’s a nice bunch of photos of disused Woolworths store facades here which is well worth a look (sorry, couldn’t resist). They’re doing a story on Newsnight this week about what’s happened to a few of the sites and how the brand now lives online.

I’d planned on taking a few shots of my local store in Stoke Newington after all the lettering was removed and the dusty outline of the Woolworths logo remained but before I got chance it was quickly replaced by some garish Iceland signage.

It’s quite quaint that brands can live on even after they’ve gone bust through bits of leftover signage. If anone know of any other similar shots of stores which have gone under do let me know!
